Harrington "Junior" Coach (1949)

This remarkably original vehicle was commissioned new in 1949. Purpose-built by Johnson's "Midget Motors" for Harringtons of Brighton, it is a well constructed working model of an excursion coach of the immediate post-war period. The coachbuilt body is of aluminium on ash framing mounted upon a sturdy chassis powered by a Villiers 2-stroke single cylinder engine of 125cc. The driving position is central and it can carry a further 2 or 3 small passengers. The paintwork is original and is finished in the maroon and Blue livery of "Costins Coaches" of Bedfordshire as first commissioned when new
